It was a busy month with the samaneri ordination but we still made sure to welcome some new friends before the end of the year.

Priya from Sri Lanka and Vivek from Ladakh here with Venerable Dhammananda

Priya with us during pindapat with our anagarika friends, Jayañña and Virginia.

2 professors from Venerable Dhammananda’s Alma Mater, Santiniketan University in India, came to visit. Here in the photo with Ven. Dhammananda are Prof. Pankaj Panwar and Associate Prof.Dr. Banatanwi Dasmahapatra. It was such a joy to have them here with us.

Sikkhamana Dhammakhippa is telling them all about Venerable Dhammananda’s mother, the most Venerable Voramai Kabilsingh, the first fully ordained bhikkhuni in Thailand (Mahayana tradition).

Prof. Banatanwi Dasmahapatra and Prof. Pankaj Panwar Standing near a photo of Rabindranath Tagore, founder of the Santiniketan University, Nobel Prize winner in literature.
