On Buddhist days and Sundays, the bhikkhunis go for alms round from 6.00 a.m. to 7.00 a.m.. At 10:30 am the food that was offered by the local people is offered as dana in the main shrine after which a Dhamma talk given by Ven. Dhammananda. The food is then served to one and all in the dining hall.
Lay visitors are welcome to accompany and assist the bhikkhuni during their alms rounds. It is a custom that dates back to the time of the Buddha making it a very special occasion.
