From 1-3 June, the 89th BuddhaSavika Training program took place. 10 participants along with the bhikkhunis observed and studied the Dhamma together. On the first day, Luang Mae led the meditation. On June 23, Professor John Schroeder from the University of Maryland, came to visit with some students. They participated in a Q&A with Ven. Dhammanda.
June 24 marked the 22nd anniversary of the death of Luang Yaa (Ven Grandma) Woramai Kabilsingh bhikkhuni, the founder of our temple. Every year the bhikkhunis join together to make merit in her honor.
From July 1-5 July, we held a silent dhamma practice. There were a total of 6 participants. Ven Dhammananda guided the meditation sessions,
On June 28, bhikkhunis and devotees of our temple organized activities for 36 students of the Wat Phai Chorakhe School, grades 1-6, which is a continuation of the same project from 2023.
For this academic year, the team will organize activities every first Friday of the month with emphasis on unity, planning skills and building morality.
