On January 16, Ms. Teeranat Chokwatana, wife of Mr. Narong Chokwatana, came to pay respects to Luang Mae Dhammananda Bhikkhuni.
On January 19, Ms. Tina led a group of Buddhists from The Metta Center, Australia, who can to meet Luang Mae. This group is made of young people who are interested in Buddhism. The also invited Luang Pho Bandit Chittasamvaro, an English monk who lives at Wat Paknam and who lived in Thailand for 27 years, to come meet Luang Mae. It was a very interesting meeting of like-minded people.
On January 23, Luang Phi Viriya, with help from some of the other bhikkhunis, made bags to carry medicine for the patients of the Hospital for Tropical Medicine.
Ms. Andrea V. Luedinghausen from Germany, stayed in the temple on Jan 23-24 and she met with Luang Mae.
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day in Thailand on January 16th, Ms. Lukthit came to pay respect to Luang Mae Dhammananda Bhikkhuni.
Staff from Japanese television station, NHK, came to pay respects to Ven. Dhammananda and to discuss the guidelines for filming a video at the monastery on the occasion of International Women’s Day this coming March.
Naboon Kabilsingh who is a member of the Songdhammakalyani Monastery helped donate second-hand clothes to the Pathom Asoke community.
