17 September 2022, 05.30 – 07.30 p.m. (Indian Standard Time, IST)
Maha Bodhi Society of India (MBSI) in collaboration with United Theravāda Bhikkhunī Saṅgha International (UTBSI) organized an online Dhamma program on International Bhikkhuni Day 2022: The Living Legacy.
For this special occasion, Ven.Bhikkhunī Dr.Lieu Phap Mahātherī from Vietnam, UTBSI secretary, kindly delivered opening remarks. Ven.Bhikkhunī Bodhicittā Therī representing Australia & Sri Lanka kindly gave opening chant and Ven. Bikkhunī Santinī Mahātherī kindly gave closing chant. Throughout the event, Ven. Bhikkhunī Sumangalā, Abbess at Ariya Vihāra, Buddhist Society of Malaysia acted as moderator tirelessly.
Without internationally inspirational speakers, this event would not make possible. We were grateful for their generosity to kindly join the program and give inspirational and motivational talks. :
Towards the end of his talk, Most Ven. Bhikkhu P.Seewalee made a big surprise by making an announcement that MBSI Executive Board appointed UTBSI coordinators honourary members of MBSI on the very auspicious occasion of 158th Birth Anniversary of Anagarika Dhammapala, founder of MBSI, and of International Bhikkhuni Day 2022.
Please rejoice with all respected UTBSI Coordinators
